Celtic Park
Celtic Park |
| Celtic Park, the home of Celtic Football Club is located in Kerrydale Street, just off the London Road in Parkhead. The stadium itself is commonly referred to as Parkhead because of the area in which it is situated.
The name Parkhead has taken its name from a small weaving hamlet, the area had flourished with the discovery of coal in 1837 and grew into a Industrial Centre. In 1897 William Beardmore became famous with the production of High Grade Steel at the Parkhead Forge. Where the Steel Plant was located is now a Shopping mall called The Forge. |
