| The Peña "El Pele" (pronounced "PEHNya el PEHly") is a flamenco appreciation society based in the West End district of Scotland's largest city, Glasgow.
It is usual to name peñas after famous flamenco artists and we have named our society for Manuel Moreno Maya, "El Pele", an outstanding gypsy singer from Córdoba and winner of the prestigious "Concurso Nacional" held every two years in that city. |
