| Eye-widening liner
Whereas a liquid liner will give you intense, sharp-edged colour, a pencil or shadow gives a softer, smudged look. To apply liquid liner: shake the tube and wipe the thin brush over the back of your hand to remove any excess liquid colour. Then, looking downwards into a mirror rather than upwards, draw a line of colour as close to your lashes as you can. Keep your eyes closed for a count of 10 to allow the liquid to dry. To apply pencil liner: first, sharpen your eye pencil and then lightly scribble on the back of your hand to dull the sharp point and warm the tip. Gently glide the pencil along the upper lids, getting as close to the lashes as possible. With your little finger, blend the line from the inner to the outer corners of your eyes. To apply shadow liner: wet your eyeliner brush and work it into your powder shadow. Close your upper lids and sweep the colour along the lashlines. Wait for the colour to dry and then soften the lines with a flat eyeshadow brush. |
