Also, in the same year, we removed all artificial colours and flavours and, where safety and quality weren't compromised, preservatives too. We still do this today too. And, long before the BSE scare, Iceland banned the use of mechanically recovered meat (MRM) in its products. We don't use offal or internal organs, unless they are a recognised part of the dish - like kidneys in steak and kidney pie. |
