| Our customers tell us that they want food that is good value, easy to cook and is reliable quality. That's why any new product or range that bears the Iceland name will be thoroughly researched, tested and checked by our team of experts before it reaches our shelves.
To ensure we offer our customers good food, in May 1998 we banned the use of GM ingredients in our own label range. We were the first UK retailer to take this stance, although many have now followed our lead. It was a massive technical challenge and many experts said it couldn't be done, but we managed to achieve it. We travelled the world to source ingredients and established new routes to get non-GM ingredients to our suppliers. |
